Description

Apple TV was introduced alongside the iPhone at Macworld 2007 as a set-top device designed to bridge the gap between iTunes content on a computer and a high-definition television. The device allowed users to stream or sync music, photos, podcasts, and video from their iTunes library over a Wi-Fi or wired network. It marked Apple's entry into the living room entertainment space, a category the company has continued to expand with subsequent hardware generations and the Apple TV+ streaming service.
